Drummoyne Water Polo Club was granted a licence to enter the Men's National League competition commencing with the 2008 season and the Womens competition from the 2009 season.
The Drummoyne Devils joined 11 other clubs playing in Australia’s premier water polo competition. “This is an exciting time for the Drummoyne club and provides our players the opportunity to remain with the Drummoyne while fulfilling their goals to play against the best Australian players” according to Drummoyne President Michael Hahn.
Whilst one of the oldest water polo clubs in Australia Drummoyne only started playing 1st Grade in the NSW competition 2006 after being out of the top division for nearly 40 years. Drummoyne have one of the most successful junior development programs and has developed some very talented players providing Drummoyne with a core group of players to take the club to the next level.
